Chaos Studies

Chaos Studies is a live experiment. As a performer, I have little control over the system; the state of each chaotic generator is determined by another chaotic generator. These generators are sampled at audio rate to produce an audible signal. The performer is not able to control what is generated when, but may control the output of a signal. In two of the systems, the chaotic generator may be translated and scaled. We do not hear their output directly, but rather these chaotic trajectories scan an invisible volume-density field.

The following video is one iteration of this work, performed at Root Signals 2017.
